    The John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute offers a comprehensive, advanced fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. This one- to two-year training program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Eduaction (ACGME), and offers the opportunity to become expert in all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia management. The Clinical Training is a 2-year program, designed for fellows with an interest in a clinical practice career. For this training, approximately months are clinical training and months are dedicated to research and scholarship.

    Curriculum. There are three fellowship tracks within the program: Clinical scholar: This three-year track is geared toward fellows who wish to become academic clinicians and educators. During years two and three, which will consist of clinical rotations and attendance at subspecialty GI clinics, the fellow will have the opportunity to focus on a particular clinical area such as . The fellowship offers ample opportunity in clinical research in several areas of clinical neurophysiology. Projects ideas and updates can be presented at our bimonthly research conference. A full-time clinical research associate is available to support the regulatory process, data collection and analysis and publication process.
